The Impact You’ll Have
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical systems for commercial and light industrial facilities, while partnering closely with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams.
You’ll be trusted to lead, collaborate, and mentor—while continuing to deepen your own technical expertise.
What You’ll Be Doing
Electrical Engineering & DesignDesign electrical systems including power, lighting, communications, and fire detection
Perform engineering calculations, load letters, lighting layouts, and power distribution designs
Integrate building automation systems, lighting controls, and communications infrastructure
Support mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams with electrical controls and power infrastructure
Size generators and coordinate with utility companies
Prepare technical specifications and equipment selections
Use AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam for design, redlines, and documentation
Partner closely with internal engineering teams for integrated project delivery
Coordinate work among designers, CAD staff, and technical team members
Estimate task hours, monitor progress, and support project milestones
Assist with proposals, schedules, and budget development
Provide leadership within the electrical team—mentoring junior engineers and helping refine standards and workflows
Participate in client meetings and respond to technical inquiries
Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
Review product data and support informed equipment selection
Support onboarding, training, and professional development of junior staff
Ensure designs meet NEC 2020, local codes, and agency standards
Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices
Contribute to continuous improvement of department processes and documentation
What You Bring
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
Experience
7–12 years of experience in electrical engineering for commercial and/or light industrial projects
Exposure to facilities such as commercial buildings, industrial plants, transportation facilities, educational environments, or similar
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Experience with fire alarm systems, lighting design, and electrical power/control systems
Familiarity with CSI specification formats
Leadership & Communication
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfortable mentoring and developing junior engineers
Able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team
Organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
Compensation, Benefits & Flexibility
Salary: $95,000–$129,000 + bonus opportunity
Hybrid Schedule:
In-office Mondays & Tuesdays
Two additional in-office days per month of your choice
Remaining days remote
44-hour workweek
Minimal travel required
