    Senior Engineering Manager, AI Assistant

    Our Gen AI Experience Engineering team is at the forefront of integrating AI capabilities across the Adobe Experience Cloud. We operate with a startup mentality, focusing on rapid delivery of value while building scalable solutions through an iterative approach.

    The Opportunity

    Are you passionate about building engaging experiences? We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering efforts focused on AI Assistant and related interfaces. You'll manage a team of individual contributors, driving innovation while maintaining Adobe's high standards for user experience. The individual responsibility for and should contribute to the team’s design, development, testing, and improvement of software, new products, and code libraries.

    In this role, you'll directly influence our AI capabilities across Experience Cloud products. Y ou'll champion a development philosophy that prioritizes quick wins and incremental value delivery, while building toward comprehensive, scalable solutions. Your leadership will help e stablish Adobe as a leader in AI-powered user experiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and mentor a team of UI engineers at various career levels crafting brand new AI experiences.

    • Drive an iterative development approach that prioritizes quick shipping of features to customers for validation of and experimentation of core value propositions before scaling

    • Develop, write code and review PR’s, getting hands on with your direct reports to provide ground level help and feedback

    • Foster a startup-like environment that balances high code quality with innovation and quick delivery to enable customer feedback.

    • Collaborate with product management to identify and prioritize high-impact features

    • Engage with UX designers, ML engineers, and multi-functional contributors to bring together cohesive AI-powered experiences.

    • Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architectural considerations.

    Qualifications

    • 5-8 years of engineering experience, preferably in UI/frontend development.

    • 4+ years managing engineers, preferably in a startup context.

    • Strong technical background in modern UI frameworks and technologies.

    • Experience leading teams building AI-powered user interfaces or complex interactive applications.

    • Proven track record of delivering products with a rapid, iterative approach

    • Experience working in teams with startup-like methodologies

    • Excellent organizational skills with ability to influence up and down

    • Deep understanding of UX principles and how they apply to AI interfaces

    • Ability to think beyond immediate needs to understand broader business context

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $143,700 -- $289,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
