    People Manager

    ** The Opportunity**

The Graph team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of accomplished engineers to deliver our first release. You will play a key role in shaping the technical direction, strategy, and culture of our team. This role is ideal for a leader who is both people-focused and technically astute-someone who can translate product vision into scalable systems while fostering an environment of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Project Graph is a new creative system that lets you combine first and third-party AI models, Adobe tools, and custom interactive components inside a visual, designer-friendly node graph editor. Connect a library of tactile, interactive components that bring creative control of AI back to your fingertips. Transform ideas into powerful workflows and modular tools that run anywhere, from the web to Adobe apps like Photoshop. And if you’d rather focus on creating than building, you can tap into a growing ecosystem of community-built tools without ever opening the editor.

    ** What you'll Do**

    • Manage a team of engineers to deliver the first release of the Graph product.
    • Work closely with design, product and program management to define the priorities, user experience, product roadmap, and schedule.
    • Take ownership of the development life cycle, closely supervise progress, identify risks and opportunities, and report progress to senior leadership.
    • Play a pivotal role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining exceptional engineers through mentorship, and grow them professionally and personally.
    • You will rely on a combination of data and instincts to make informed decisions and drive the team's progress quickly. Your ability to balance speed and quality will be instrumental in achieving our goals.
    • Cultivate an environment that embraces teamwork, celebrates achievements, and fosters collaboration for shared success. Your leadership will contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
    • Be a great leader and teammate: Collaboration is key to our success, and you will lead by example.
    • Advocate for engineering excellence: You will champion engineering excellence, contributing to the architecture and high-level structure of our applications. Your technical expertise will ensure that our products are built with high quality and scalability in mind.
    • You will not only lead your team but also contribute to driving culture and process improvements across the broader engineering organization.

** What you need to succeed**

    • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 10 years of demonstrated experience in software engineering is required. This experience should show a deep understanding of software development principles, practices, and methodologies.
    • Have proven ability leading software engineering teams, including successfully leading and guiding teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
    • Strong technical background and analytical abilities. Experience in developing commercially successful web applications.
    • Excellent technical skills in evaluating systems architecture, particularly using extensive knowledge of full-stack technologies.
    • Drive consensus on requirements, ensure timely decision-making, provide guidance, prioritize tasks, and optimize scope and time.
    • Passion for collaborating with design teams from concept to production is important. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineers and designers.
    • It is important to have a track record of optimally developing, leading, coaching, and mentoring software engineers. The key is to create an environment that promotes positivity and growth while supporting professional development.
    • Collaborate and adapt to different cultures, time zones, and work styles.
