    Role Overview

    As a Senior Estimator, you’ll lead the estimating process on complex, multidisciplinary heavy civil construction projects. Your day-to-day will involve reviewing project documentation, performing accurate quantity takeoffs, analyzing subcontractor and vendor proposals, and supporting both preconstruction and post-bid phases alongside project managers and stakeholders.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage bid efforts for large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects
    • Interpret and review project drawings, specifications, and design documents
    • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
    • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owner representatives
    • Support project buyouts and handoff processes post-award

    Qualifications

    • 5–10 years of estimating experience focused on heavy civil construction
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Carlson is a plus
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
