    Senior Estimator (GC) / Preconstruction Lead — Commercial & Multi-Family
    (Path to Chief Estimator — Build and Lead the Estimating Department)
    Miami, FL 33155 | Full-Time | On-site | Local/Regional Candidates Preferred

    A long-established South Florida General Contractor (nearly 60 years) is hiring a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Lead to own estimating and preconstruction—conceptual budgets → GMP → hard bid submission—with a clear runway to become Chief Estimator and build a team.

    What you’ll do

    • Build conceptual budgets, DD budgets, GMPs, and hard bids
    • Perform takeoffs, create scope sheets, and manage CSI division coverage
    • Run subcontractor outreach, compare bids apples-to-apples, and complete bid leveling
    • Identify scope gaps/risks across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP
    • Prepare clean estimate packages and support precon handoff to operations
    • Help implement/upgrade estimating workflows, templates, and software

    Required (we will screen for these)

    • 5+ years estimating experience with a General Contractor (commercial and/or multi-family)
    • Proven experience pricing multi-million-dollar projects
    • Strong knowledge of GMP and hard-bid estimating, bid leveling, and scope development
    • Ability to read/interpret full drawing sets and specs (including MEP coordination/risk)
    • Strong Excel skills for estimating/bid leveling and documentation
    • Comfortable leading the precon process with minimal supervision

    Preferred (nice-to-have)

    • Degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering (or similar)
    • Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift/OST, Procore (or similar)
    • Background estimating ground-up commercial/multi-family and complex renovations/TI
