Senior Family Law Attorney – Minneapolis, MN Atticus Family Law is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to join our established Minnesota practice. This role is designed for a seasoned family law professional who is looking to handle complex divorce and custody matters while also contributing to leadership, mentorship, and strategic case direction within a collaborative team environment. For more than 20 years, Atticus Family Law has represented clients in divorce, child custody, parenting time, spousal maintenance, and property division matters. We are known for combining strong legal advocacy with a client-centered approach and efficient systems that allow our attorneys to focus on meaningful legal work. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, memoranda, and trial briefs in divorce and custody matters • Prepare for and attend court hearings, motion hearings, settlement conferences, and trials • Conduct courtroom advocacy and present witness testimony and evidence • Develop a case strategy for complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, and spousal maintenance • Conduct legal research and analyze Minnesota statutes, case law, and procedural rules • Manage discovery, review financial documents, and analyze evidence • Negotiate with opposing counsel and represent clients in settlement discussions and mediation • Maintain direct client communication and provide strategic legal guidance • Draft substantive legal correspondence to clients, courts, and opposing counsel • Supervise and review work prepared by paralegals and legal support staff Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience practicing family law in Minnesota • Active Minnesota Bar license in good standing • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy • High emotional intelligence and professionalism in client interactions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational and calendar management skills • Comfortable using legal technology and case management systems • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team needs when necessary • Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to shift priorities efficiently Compensation: $145,000+ yearly
