Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for important work, including: Drafting motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs • Preparing clear, persuasive written materials that effectively present a client’s position and set the stage for successful hearings and trials. Preparing for and attending hearings • Organizing exhibits, witness outlines, and arguments, then representing clients with confidence and professionalism in court. Consulting with clients and developing case strategies • Meeting with clients to understand their goals, advising them on legal options, and crafting strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. Communicating with opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders • Managing negotiations, scheduling, and correspondence to ensure matters move forward efficiently and constructively. Performing case law research • Identifying and applying relevant statutes, precedents, and judicial decisions to strengthen case arguments and legal positions. Investigating case facts and monitoring new laws and regulations • Reviewing financial records, discovery materials, and other evidence while staying up to date on evolving family law developments. Crafting substantive correspondence • Writing letters, emails, and communications that clearly convey legal positions, case updates, and guidance to clients and opposing parties. Editing and approving paralegal-prepared documents • Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and professionalism in all filings, pleadings, and client communications produced by the support team. Compensation: $145,000+ yearly
