Responsibilities: Manage a sophisticated family law caseload from initial consultation through final resolution and, when necessary, trial Handle complex matters involving equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, child support, domestic violence, separation agreements, and other family law issues Develop litigation strategy and provide thoughtful legal counsel tailored to each client's unique circumstances Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations Draft pleadings, motions, separation agreements, consent orders, and other legal documents with exceptional attention to detail Collaborate with fellow attorneys to develop case strategy and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients Work closely with experienced paralegals and legal assistants to deliver outstanding client service Build trusted relationships with clients by providing compassionate guidance and clear communication throughout their case Qualifications: Required Active license to practice law in North Carolina Five or more years of substantial family law litigation experience Significant courtroom and litigation experience Experience handling contested custody, equitable distribution, alimony, and child support matters Exceptional legal writing, courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills Outstanding professionalism, integrity, judgment, and client service Preferred North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law Experience handling high-asset and financially complex divorce matters Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing business interests, financial statements, executive compensation, and complex marital estates Experience mentoring junior attorneys or legal staff Compensation We offer a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, performance, and demonstrated success Benefits Performance-based bonus opportunities Group health insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Continuing legal education and professional development State Bar dues and approved professional memberships Firm-supported marketing and business development Experienced paralegal and administrative support Modern technology and litigation resources
