The Role As a Senior Family Law Paralegal, you will play a critical role in guiding clients through the family law process with confidence, compassion, and professionalism. You will work closely with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and a dedicated business development and marketing team, all focused on helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered. What You’ll Do • Support attorneys in complex North Carolina family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and court filings with precision and care • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and compassionate support • Manage case timelines, deadlines, and documentation from start to finish • Assist with mediation, hearings, and trial preparation • Build strong, meaningful relationships with clients while maintaining professionalism and empathy • Contribute to a team culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and service excellence What We’re Looking For8+ years of hands-on experience in North Carolina family law • Deep knowledge of family law procedures and court requirements • Strong organizational and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail • A client-first mindset and commitment to delivering outstanding service • Someone who values teamwork, integrity, and shared success • Experience with case management systems (Smokeball experience is a plus) Why Join Our CommunityHybrid - Raleigh, NC work environment supporting flexibility and balance • A team that genuinely cares — about clients, outcomes, and each other • Leadership that invests in growth, learning, and professional development • A firm culture guided by clearly defined core values • Competitive compensation and benefits • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, court forms, and client correspondence in accordance with North Carolina family law rules and procedures. • Manage and maintain case files from start to resolution, ensuring all deadlines, court dates, and filings are timely and accurate. • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing responsive communication and maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy. • Organize, review, and summarize financial documents and evidence for matters involving custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution. • Assist attorneys with mediation, hearings, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and case materials coordination. • Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties to facilitate efficient case progression. • Support team collaboration and contribute to a client-focused environment aligned with the firm’s core values and commitment to service excellence, and to ensure efficient workflows, proactive case management, and timely follow-up. • Uphold the firm’s core values by contributing to a positive team culture and delivering an exceptional client experience at every stage of representation. Qualifications: • 8+ years of Paralegal Experience in Family Law. • Bilingual: Spanish / English is a plus, but not a requirement. Compensation: $70,000 yearly
