Responsibilities: • Manage and coordinate family law case files from initial filing through resolution, ensuring deadlines, court dates, and attorney action items are tracked and completed in a timely manner. • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, financial affidavits, subpoenas, correspondence, and other family law documents with a high level of accuracy and professionalism. • Maintain proactive communication with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and court personnel to support a positive client experience and ensure matters continue moving forward efficiently. • Assist attorneys with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization, document management, witness coordination, and preparation of trial binders. • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to streamline workflows, improve case management processes, and support a team-focused environment centered on communication, mentorship, and client service. Qualifications: • Minimum of 10 years of North Carolina family law paralegal experience with a strong understanding of family court procedures, deadlines, and legal documentation. • Highly tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, systems, and legal technology platforms, including case management systems, document management tools, Microsoft 365, and virtual communication platforms. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and team members while supporting a positive client experience. • Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented professional who values teamwork, accountability, mentorship, and continuous learning while supporting attorneys and contributing to an efficient, collaborative legal team environment. Compensation: $70,000 yearly
