Our client is looking for a detail-oriented leader who will oversee the company’s accounting operations and financial controls across multiple manufacturing sites. This role requires strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in cost analysis, margin performance, and plant-level reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and financial procedures for manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate books, records, and reconciliations for plant and corporate accounts
- Analyze cost drivers, price variance, and market trends to support management decisions
- Provide forward-looking analysis on production performance, capacity utilization, and new targets
- Partner with operations and sales leadership to ensure alignment of financial results with commercial objectives
- Travel across various plants to maintain visibility into local operations and ensure consistency of processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) or 5–7 years of related manufacturing accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis and modeling
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, highlight trends, and present actionable insights
- Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with both plant leadership and executive management
