Summary
An established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support its production facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis. The position partners closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering to provide meaningful cost insights, strengthen financial controls, and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead within the ERP system
- Review and validate bills of materials and routings
- Support annual cost roll processes, including overhead rate development
- Analyze financial impact of process changes, sourcing decisions, and new product introductions
- Prepare and analyze manufacturing variances
- Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory
- Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Review and close manufacturing work orders for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare cost-related journal entries including inventory adjustments and overhead allocations
- Support month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost driver analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience
- Knowledge of BOMs, routings, labor standards, and work order processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and lookup functions
- Experience with ERP systems
