    Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.

    Position Summary:

    This role will support the financial operations of a manufacturing-based organization, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective cost tracking across multiple business units or locations. This position plays a vital role in the analysis of product and customer profitability, by understanding inventory and cost accounting, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in analysis, accounting within a manufacturing environment and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Support monthly P&L review and analysis through assistance in preparing our internal financial statement reviews with global partners.

    · Track and analyze inventory transactions, cost of goods sold, and production variances on a monthly basis to gain an understanding of product profitability.

    · Will support and assist in our ongoing MS Business Central (ERP implementation) projects, by facilitating cost comparisons between legacy and new ERP systems, playing an integral role in the project success.

    · Support standard costing, margin analysis, and cost center reviews in partnership with operations. Helping to reduce variances in production by being a trusted partner with finance, accounting and operations.

    · Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements if applicable

    · Participate in ongoing improvements to accounting systems and manufacturing reporting tools

    · Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting, as needed.

    · Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across manufacturing entities as needed.

    · Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP

    · Collaborate with plant controllers and production managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and controls

    · Assist in external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

     

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    · 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required

    · Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory valuation, and cost accounting principles

    · Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling)

    · Experience with ERP systems; experience with manufacturing modules preferred

    · Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively across departments

    · CMA/CPA or progress toward certification is preferred but not required

  • Compensation
    $90,000-$115,000 per year
