Position Overview:
The Senior Financial & Data Analyst (SFDA) plays a critical role in financial planning and operational analysis, supporting strategic and operational decisions across the organization. The SFDA provides concise, reliable analyses and forecasts, detailed and replicable financial models, and insightful reporting to finance leadership and operational team partners. In addition, the SFDA is an integral member of the data management team with responsibility for ensuring that management and team members have access to reliable, curated data from a variety of financial and operating systems for reporting and ad hoc analyses.
The SFDA collaborates with leadership to drive key planning initiatives, prepares thoughtful analyses in collaboration with various members of the Senior Leadership Team, and partners with IT and business system owners to ensure that the company’s data warehouse is populated with reliable, accurate data.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information involved, this position demands strict adherence to confidentiality protocols. You will be expected to maintain ethical handling and secure storage of data, aligned with company standards and legal compliance requirements. You will be expected to exercise the highest levels of discretion, integrity, and judgment in all tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data-driven solutions and strategies that align with business objectives.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality; Assess and improve existing tools and methodologies to enhance the quality and reliability of analytical processes.
- Use advanced automated tools and techniques to extract, transform, and organize data from primary and secondary sources.
- Design and maintain scalable databases and data systems, ensuring their integrity and accessibility.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within complex data sets and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations for SLT and stakeholders, presenting key findings and strategic recommendations.
- Provide expertise in statistical modeling, data visualization, and predictive analytics to address complex business challenges.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security protocols, and industry standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of business driver focused financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans. Collaborate with senior management to align financial goals with operational objectives.
- Collaborate with key functional leadership to ensure that financial plans accurately reflect operational and growth priorities.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of templates, tools, and guidelines to streamline processes and ensure accurate budgeting practices.
Ongoing & ad hoc:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to assess business performance, evaluate risk, and support strategic decision-making; conduct regular reviews with stakeholders, analyzing financial metrics and trends to identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and process improvement.
- Leverage data warehouse systems (e.g. Azure, Snowflake, Redshift) to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets for financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Provide complex analytical modeling through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations.
- Identify business process improvement opportunities and internal controls; support and help drive cost optimization initiatives, margin improvements, and scalable growth strategies.
- Lead financial modeling for new business initiatives, product launches, and investment opportunities.
- Bring a hands-on, curious mindset to improving processes and solving business challenges.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, effectively communicating complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting and forecasting.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong background in financial analysis, a solid understanding of the healthcare or durable medical equipment industry, and experience working in a private equity-backed environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and modeling; experience identifying and quantifying impact of financial driver activities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Business Intelligence tools.
- 2+ years working with data warehouses (e.g., building financial models using large-scale data from enterprise systems).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and working knowledge of data modeling and architecture; Working understanding of data governance, data integrity, and data management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong emphasis to detail.
- Driven self-starter who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and building complex, driver-focused financial models.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
