    We’re seeking a top-tier Level 5 Generator Field Service Technician to join our expert team in Coral Springs, FL. This position is ideal for a senior-level diesel technician who thrives on complex diagnostics, major component repairs, and high-level fieldwork without any ATS or switchgear paralleling responsibilities.

    About the Role

    As a Level 5 Technician, you’ll be responsible for advanced diesel generator diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You’ll operate independently in the field, using your technical expertise to service mission-critical equipment for our commercial and industrial clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform expert-level troubleshooting and diagnostics on diesel generators (ranging from 20kW to multi-MW systems)

    • Complete major repairs and overhauls: fuel systems, engines, alternators, voltage regulators, and control modules

    • Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and load bank testing

    • Commission newly installed or repaired generators

    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to perform testing and root-cause analysis

    • Maintain accurate service documentation using our digital platform

    • Manage parts, tools, and inventory in a company-provided field vehicle

    • Mentor Level 1–3 technicians as needed

    • Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE compliance

    • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service needs

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with diesel generator maintenance and repair

    • Deep understanding of diesel engines, alternators, fuel systems, and generator controls

    • Proficient with multimeters, megohm testers, load banks, and other diagnostic tools

    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and wiring diagrams

    • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred)

    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field

    Preferred Qualifications

    • EGSA Certification or OEM-specific training (e.g., CAT, Cummins, Kohler, Generac)

    • Experience with industrial generator systems (500kW – 2MW+)

    • Familiarity with Tier 4 engine technology

    • Leadership experience or mentoring junior techs
