    About the Role

We’re seeking a Master Service Technician (A-Tech) to join our high-performing service team in Asheville. As the most senior technical expert in the shop, you’ll take the lead on diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring junior technicians. You’ll work primarily on Bobcat equipment — including skid steers, excavators, and loaders — performing advanced troubleshooting and full rebuilds of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems.

This role is ideal for a seasoned technician who enjoys autonomy, values craftsmanship, and wants to work in a steady shop environment where their expertise truly matters. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates looking to make a move to one of the Southeast’s most livable cities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform advanced diagnostics and in-depth electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs on Bobcat and other compact heavy equipment

    • Conduct complete system troubleshooting using manufacturer tools and software

    • Handle a wide range of service needs, from preventative maintenance to major overhauls and rebuilds

    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced technicians

    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds safety and quality standards

    • Support shop efficiency by identifying process improvements and maintaining a clean, organized workspace

    Qualifications

    • 5–10+ years of experience as a heavy equipment or diesel technician (Bobcat, Caterpillar, John Deere, or similar)

    • Master-level proficiency in diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel repair theory

    • Proven ability to perform complex troubleshooting and complete all types of repairs independently

    • Experience working with compact construction equipment preferred; strong truck or diesel shop background also considered

    • Strong commitment to safety, communication, and teamwork

    What We Offer

    • Competitive pay with flexibility based on experience and performance

    • Flat-rate relocation assistance available for qualified hires, including support in securing housing within commuting range

    • PTO structure that rewards tenure — experienced hires may qualify for advanced vacation accrual starting day one

    • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement options

    • Ongoing technical training and factory certification opportunities

    • A supportive, collaborative shop culture focused on quality, respect, and long-term stability
