  • Responsibilities

    Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Highway Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects. This is a leadership-level opportunity to manage complex transportation projects while mentoring design teams and maintaining strong client relationships across the region.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee roadway and highway design projects from preliminary engineering through final design and delivery

    • Lead and mentor project teams of engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project standards

    • Manage budgets, schedules, and client communication to maintain project alignment and profitability

    • Develop design plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications for roadway, intersection, and traffic improvement projects

    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success

    • Provide technical guidance on roadway modeling, design standards, and best practices for public infrastructure projects

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in highway design and project management

    • Experience managing DOT or municipal roadway projects, including preliminary and final design phases

    • Proficiency with roadway design software such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads

    • Strong technical knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and DOT design standards

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
