    A private family seeks an experienced, highly organized, and service-oriented Senior Housekeeper to oversee the daily cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of their Boston residence. This is a full-time, year-round position requiring flexibility and a commitment to maintaining a luxury home to exceptional standards.

    This position consists of the following schedule: Sunday and Monday 11am-7pm, Tuesday – Thursday 8am to 4pm, with a monthly rotational, 1 to 2 day, schedule to their home in New Hampshire.

    The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in high-end private households and possesses a strong understanding of formal household standards, museum-quality cleaning techniques, household organization, inventory management, and service. This individual will be proactive, detail-oriented, discreet, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a fully staffed household under the direction of the Estate Manager.

    The successful candidate will maintain the residence with exceptional care, including the proper handling of antiques, fine furnishings, artwork, specialty surfaces, and valuable household items. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of the residence and guest accommodations to exceptionally high standards
    • Execute museum-quality cleaning techniques for fine furnishings, antiques, artwork, silver, glass, wood, leather, stone, and specialty surfaces
    • Maintain all living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and guest quarters in pristine condition
    • Ensure the home remains organized, tidy, and continuously reset throughout the day
    • Change bed linens and maintain family and guest bedrooms to hotel-quality standards
    • Conduct regular household walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs, repairs, or damages and communicate findings appropriately
    • Maintain discretion and professionalism while family members and guests are in residence
    • Follow household protocols, service standards, schedules, and privacy expectations
    • Manage all aspects of family laundry, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and wardrobe organization
    • Properly care for delicate fabrics, luxury garments, linens, and specialty items
    • Maintain laundry areas and inventory of laundry-related supplies
    • Implement and maintain organizational systems throughout closets, pantries, storage areas, utility spaces, and household workspaces
    • Manage household inventories, including cleaning supplies, paper goods, household consumables, and organizational products
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment as needed
    • Process incoming packages, returns, and deliveries
    • Assist with seasonal storage rotations, donation management, packing and unpacking, and household organization projects
    • Maintain guest readiness and ensure the residence is prepared to receive visitors at all times
    • Prepare guest rooms and provide hospitality support as needed
    • Refresh flowers and maintain decorative household touches as directed
    • Assist with healthy meal preparation, snacks, grocery shopping, and household stocking when requested
    • Run routine household errands including dry cleaning, grocery shopping, package returns, and other family-related tasks
    • Communicate professionally with vendors, contractors, service providers, and household staff
    • Assist in coordinating household projects, maintenance appointments, and service schedules
    • Work collaboratively with housekeepers, nannies, chefs, estate staff, and other household employees
    • Support the Estate Manager in maintaining household operations and service standards
    • Communicate effectively regarding household needs, project timelines, inventory requirements, and maintenance concerns
    Requirements
    • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a private residence, luxury estate, or boutique five-star hospitality environment
    • Extensive knowledge of luxury household standards, household operations, and formal service
    • Demonstrated experience caring for antiques, fine art, specialty surfaces, and high-value household items
    • Exceptional housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and organizational skills
    • Strong inventory management and household systems experience
    • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a household team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Polished, professional demeanor with the utmost discretion and confidentiality
    • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities
    • Flexible schedule with willingness to work additional hours when needed
    • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and confidence driving in all conditions
    • Comfortable working in a home with pets
    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
