Position Summary
- The Cons IAM Security Engineer within Identity Foundations administers, implements, and maintains the on-premise Active Directory Forest(s) and infrastructure as well as providing support for the Entra ID tenant for the HCA enterprise. This role will serve as an authoritative voice on Active Directory best practices for the HCA enterprise.?
Responsibilities
- Design & administer Tier-0 infrastructure running on premise Active Directory Domain Controller servers.
- Design & administer AD structure and content in multi-forest, multi-domain Microsoft Active Directory environment and Entra ID Tenants.
- Design, administer, and maintain infrastructure for Active Directory related tools and services: Active Roles, GPOAdmin, Semperis ADFR, Semperis DSP, and more.
- Design and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to configure and enforce settings and security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues with Active Directory, including replication, authentication, and authorization issues.
- Design & Implement domain trusts to facilitate resource sharing between domains to meet business needs.
- Design Domain Name Services and administer DNS records to support Active Directory Domains
- Create and maintain documentation covering the relevant policy and procedures of Active Directory and supporting tools.
- Monitor Active Directory infrastructure and services to ensure optimal uptime and performance to meet business requirements.
- Coordinates improvement efforts; follows-up and follows through to ensure that operating changes result in expected improvements; reports on results of implemented improvements.
- Participates in an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based solutions, cross-training, to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and service excellence.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory – Structure and Hierarchy (Domains, Forests, trusts, OUs, FSMO roles, replication); DNS; Group Policies; Authentication Protocols; LDAP;
- Multi-Year experience Administering Domain Controller Servers for Active Directory, preferably in a Large Enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with capacity to understand complex problems, diagnose the key problem components and design effective solutions to resolve.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to convey technical, nuanced information to diverse audiences in a way that fosters understanding.
