Position Summary:
The Senior IT/OT and Cybersecurity Architect will be responsible for integrating, maintaining, and optimizing the technological systems that support both the corporate IT infrastructure and field operational systems within renewable energy generation plants (solar, wind, etc.). This role ensures the cybersecurity, connectivity, and operational efficiency of all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Information Technology (IT): · Manage corporate networks, servers, backup systems, and cybersecurity infrastructure. · Coordinate with the technical support team to ensure the continuous availability of IT systems. · Implement software solutions for asset management, maintenance, and data analytics. · Oversee both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
· Operational Technology (OT): · Supervise and maintain SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, and other industrial automation devices. · Ensure seamless connectivity between plant control systems and remote monitoring platforms. · Implement cybersecurity measures tailored to industrial environments. · Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to enhance process efficiency.
· IT/OT Interface: · Design secure network architectures connecting IT and OT systems without compromising security. · Lead digitalization and automation projects across renewable energy plants. · Support the integration of new renewable assets and facilities into the company’s technological ecosystem. · Partner with technology vendors and engineering teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT/OT environments, preferably within the energy sector.
· Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, etc.) and SCADA systems
· Proven experience in industrial cybersecurity and network management.
· Familiarity with U.S. cybersecurity standards, including at least: NIST SP 800-82, ISA 99 / IEC 62443, NERC CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation – Critical Infrastructure Protection), and ISO/IEC 27001.
· Excellent ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and distributed team environments
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Compensation:
Salary Range: per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Annual Bonus: Performance-based target bonus up to 20%–25% of base salary.
