    We are seeking an experienced Senior Inspector to join our construction inspection team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations and/or drilling and blasting methods. This position requires strong technical knowledge and field inspection experience to ensure that tunneling and excavation activities comply with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    Responsibilities • Perform daily field inspections of TBM operations and/or drilling and blasting activities. • Monitor contractor work for compliance with approved plans, technical specifications, and safety requirements. • Document field activities, prepare detailed inspection reports, and maintain accurate records. • Verify that equipment, materials, and methods meet project standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and safety staff to address field issues and recommend corrective actions. • Support project management with technical expertise related to tunneling, ground support, and excavation operations. • Ensure all tunneling and blasting activities are executed with strict adherence to safety protocols.

    Qualifications

    Minimum of 5 years of inspection experience on heavy civil, tunneling, or underground infrastructure projects.

    Hands-on knowledge of TBM operations and/or drilling and blasting techniques.

    Strong understanding of OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.

    Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tunnel design documents, and technical specifications.

    Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

    Certifications such as NICET, OSHA 30, blasting licenses, or equivalent are highly preferred.

    Ability to work in underground and demanding construction environments.
