    Position Overview

    The Installation Supervisor is a hands-on field leader responsible for managing and guiding installation technicians through every phase of a project — from rough-in to trim-out and final system testing.

    This person ensures installations meet ETC Florida’s technical and aesthetic standards, coordinates closely with project managers, and maintains a professional presence on high-end residential job sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership & Supervision

    Lead and support a team of installation technicians on multiple job sites.

    Assign daily tasks, track progress, and ensure work meets quality standards and deadlines.

    Provide on-site guidance, technical troubleshooting, and mentorship to junior installers.

    Maintain clear communication with Site Supervisors, and other trades.

    Installation & Technical Execution

    Oversee and participate in the installation of structured cabling, AV equipment, lighting control, motorized shading, and network systems.

    Ensure all components are installed to design specifications, with attention to detail and visual cleanliness.

    Verify system functionality and assist with testing, programming, and commissioning.

    Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.

    Quality & Safety

    Conduct quality control checks throughout each phase of installation.

    Enforce company safety standards and proper tool/equipment use.

    Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and professional at all times — reflecting ETC Florida’s premium brand.

    Coordination

    Communicate effectively with builders, electricians, designers, and other trades on-site.

    Identify potential issues early and collaborate with the project team to resolve them quickly.

    Assist in scheduling and logistics for equipment delivery and installation milestones.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    7+ years of experience in custom AV, smart home, lighting control, or related low-voltage installation.

    Strong understanding of structured cabling, rack building, device mounting, and signal flow.

    Proven experience supervising small field teams or leading crews on job sites.

    Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.

    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Professional demeanor appropriate for luxury residential environments.

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Preferred:

    Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Control4, or Savant systems.

    Knowledge of residential networking and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

    Certifications such as CEDIA, CTS, or manufacturer training.

    $80,000-$100,000 salary range
