  • Responsibilities

    DBI’s long-time client in San Francisco is seeking a Senior interior designer with extensive experience. Focused on commercial interiors, you will work across clients of all types and scales in a growing and entrepreneurial studio.

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate program documents through client-facing meetings.
    • Create space plans
    • Develop and execute contextual design stories and concepts.
    • Collaborate with team members on furniture and finish selection and construction document production.
    • Coordinate consultant and vendor drawings.
    • Lead/coordinate construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples.
    • Manage client expectations and coordinate team and consultant communications.
    • Generate business opportunity leads for the company.
    • Manage various-sized teams.
    • Knowledge of budget and schedule drivers, both internally and externally
    • Participate in multiple project teams simultaneously

    Requirements:

    • 10+ years of related experience as an interior designer, with a focus on commercial interiors
    • Must be proficient in Revit and InDesign
    • Strong knowledge of the design and documentation process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color, and materials
    • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
    • Willingness to focus on multiple projects in various stages
    • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
    • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
    • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
    • Knowledge of local code and permitting requirements
  • Compensation
    $125,000 per year
