About the role:
A Therapy Awareness Manager (TAM) is responsible for accelerating the growth of key products through the development and execution of demand generating initiatives focused on prospective and targeted HCP audiences. This position is responsible for the development of therapy and adoption of Interventional Oncology (IO) therapies in the region/geography assigned. The TAM will design and execute a therapy awareness plan that is aligned with the strategic priorities of the company. This candidate will work closely with Therapy Consultants (sales representatives) and Regional Sales Managers to execute marketing tactics to enhance referral patterns and increase the number of patients with access to with company IO therapies. The TAM will be responsible for ensuring the assigned territory meets or exceeds designated objectives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with Therapy Consultants (sales representatives) and Regional Manager(s) across a designated geography to identify and engage with institutional multidisciplinary (MDT) teams and health care professionals to enhance referring physician and patient awareness of specific disease states and available treatment options.
- Develop and implement targeted outreach, awareness, and advocacy initiatives aimed at MDT teams and referring physicians to increase awareness and support for company IO therapies.
- Recommend best practices to current company Interventional Oncology customers that enhance practice support, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and improve patient care outcomes.
- Drive therapy awareness and support multidisciplinary teams and practices through specific activities such as regular customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, and participation in trade shows.
- Leverage data insights to understand patient referral pathways and identify key referral networks, using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Gain a thorough understanding of clinical data supporting company IO therapies and effectively communicate this information to treating and referring physicians, with support from the medical science and therapy consultant teams.
- Conduct in-office education meetings, delivering relevant marketing materials to multidisciplinary specialties such as medical oncology, surgical oncology, interventional radiology, hepatology, gastroenterology, and surgery.
- Identify and address local limitations on patient access to trained physicians offering company IO therapies.
- Ensure patients can access trained physicians through outreach to network affiliates and community oncology.
- Obtain input and provide feedback to internal Marketing on requirements and improvement opportunities from external customers to improve patient access to care and support the collaboration of multidisciplinary teams.
- Support bi-annual business planning process in collaboration with field sales including territory landscape review, planning activity timelines, and aligning key deliverables with overall marketing objectives.
- Manage field travel to maximize time and resources aligned with individual and overall marketing objectives.
Required qualifications:
- BA or BS degree required
- 5+ years successful sales and/or marketing experience required
- Up to 60% travel required
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA
- Therapy awareness and/or market development experience
- Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech, Medical Device experience preferred
- Prior experience or background in oncology or interventional oncology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with sales and marketing databases is preferred
