    Job Description

    • In situations of NHA vacancy, serve as onsite executive for all operations, acting as contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
    • Provide added support as needed to incumbent nursing home administrators, including but not limited to onboarding, training, leadership, and management coaching.
    • Review and monitor survey readiness and verify that the community is in compliance.
    • Work with residents, families and the community to ensure that residents are at appropriate levels of care.
    • Manage budget and cash flow, maintain budget accountability, manage occupancy and revenue expectations with sales team, aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
    • Complete mock surveys as indicated.
    • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate managerial employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation human resources policy.
    • Maintain all local, state, and federal licenses.
    • Create an environment for pride and quality among all staff, encouraging them to their highest potential.
    • Maintain resident retention by working with residents and their families, dealing with any issues that arise.
    • Lead staff meetings.
    • Ensure that all proprietary, financial, and resident information is kept confidential.
    • Monitor and record petty cash disbursements and reconcile to replenish.
    • Participate in accounts receivables and bad debt reviews.
    • Process/file workers compensation claims.
    • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
    • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Level of Formal Education : Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience

    Area of Study: Nursing Home Administrator

    Years of Experience: minimum of 5+ years of related experience within a senior housing or long term care environment

    Type of Experience: NHA

    Special Certifications: NHA license required, active RN /LPN license preferred. Application for multi-state license may be required

    Language Skills: English proficiency required

    Technical Competencies: Microsoft office proficiency required

    Skills and Ability:

    • Possess strong organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

    Information Systems: __ Yardi, PCC or other EMR experience preferred

    Personal Attributes: Exceptional communication both written and verbal, organization skills, team player

    Other/Preferred: Multi-state travel required
