  • Responsibilities

    Summary:

    The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of the facility's production plans in any of the following departments. Assembly, Prep, Slicing, Kitchen, and Shipping Departments.

    Principal Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Supervise line setup and manage daily attendance.
    • Conduct daily huddles with the team to ensure communication of pertinent topics (safety, quality, productivity).
    • Ensure product orders are complete, and line productivity logs are filled out completely and accurately.
    • Coordinate production plan changes with managers, line leads, and outside departments.
    • Key Process Indicators (KPIs) for the position:
    • Maintain and On Time, In Full (OTIF) Rate of 99.9% meeting customer expected push of 7 AM and 11 AM
    • Ensure Unit Per Labor Hour Targets are met for each SKU manufactured.
    • Follow product specs and reduce/eliminate misprocesses.
    • Show quality obsession by maintaining Gold Standard at each step of the process. Train line to meet Gold Standard throughout the process.
    • Manage Overtime throughout the week. Adjust staffing levels as overtime hours are identified. OT expectation per line is less than 1 hour per week.
    • Complete daily records to verify quality expectations. These include, but are not limited to:
    • Product Quality Audits
    • Metal Detector Checks
    • Label Verification
    • Work with Process Coordinator on New Product Development and commercialization.
    • Be an advocate for your team. Speak up when there are obstacles to completing assigned tasks and follow up with management.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • Knowledge/Experience of a food manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to motivate and drive a team.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • USDA and FDA experience a plus
    • HACCP experience a plus
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office and other programs related to the business.
    • Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment

    Physical Demands:

    Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

    Work Environment:

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and will include, but not be limited to, production machinery, computers, printers, telephones, and normal communication.

    Must be willing to work under various temperatures, typically ranging from 33 - 38°F to Ambient.
