Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Litigation Paralegal with a passion to bring justice for the injured to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in litigation support, demonstrating a deep understanding of trial preparation and a commitment to achieving success in the courtroom.
Responsibilities:
Conducting legal research and analysis to support trial strategy and case development.
Managing and meticulously organizing files, including voluminous electronic and hard copy documents.
Assisting in drafting and filing critical legal documents, such as compelling pleadings, motions, and persuasive trial briefs.
Collaborating closely with attorneys to coordinate trial logistics, including witness preparation and exhibit management.
Reviewing, summarizing, and synthesizing deposition transcripts, exhibits, and other discovery materials to uncover key insights.
Spearheading the preparation of comprehensive trial exhibits, documents and binders, ensuring seamless presentation of evidence.
Coordinating document production and managing discovery requests/responses, including the rigorous review of documents.
Providing invaluable support during trial proceedings, including discretionary courtroom attendance and assistance with real-time exhibit handling.
Maintaining open lines of communication with clients, offering updates on case progress and addressing any concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Serving as a mentor and resource for junior paralegals, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
-Substantial experience (minimum of 3-5 years) as a litigation paralegal in a trial law firm environment.
Proficiency in advanced legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, with a keen ability to uncover critical case law and precedents.
Impeccable organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail, essential for managing complex trial files and documents.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for conveying complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines with ease.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software, coupled with a strong technical aptitude.
Comprehensive knowledge of eDiscovery processes and document management systems, essential for efficient case preparation.
Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and courtroom procedures, including familiarity with courtroom technology and protocols.
Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
