Position Overview
A wholesale manufacturer is seeking a senior operator to set the logistics & EDI strategy and drive execution across Amazon/eCommerce and big-box retail. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll own the inbound pipeline (50+ FCL containers/month), retailer/marketplace compliance, and multi-node 3PL performance and advising leadership.
Must-Haves
4+ years leading logistics for consumer products with direct Amazon (FBA/FBM, Vendor Central) ownership
Deep EDI experience with major retailers/marketplaces
Proven planning/execution of 50+ full containers per month (Asia→US): carrier allocation, bookings, ISF/HTS, customs brokerage, drayage, DC appts
Multi-site 3PL leadership: SLAs, SOPs, inventory accuracy, OTIF, returns/value-add services
Advanced Excel; strong analytical chops for capacity planning, cost modeling, KPI ownership
Executive-level communication and vendor negotiation skills
Key Responsibilities
Set and own the logistics playbook for Amazon & eCommerce; recommend process, org, and systems changes and lead implementation
Run Amazon FBA/FBM & Vendor Central operations: shipment creation, prep/label/SIOC compliance, FC appointments, IPI/restock-limit stewardship
Lead EDI end-to-end: testing/mapping, timely ASNs/invoices, routing-guide adherence, chargeback prevention for Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco, Best Buy, Home Depot, etc.
Plan and optimize the inbound ocean pipeline (50+ FCL/mo): sailing selection, carrier mix, port/rail strategy, drayage, appointment scheduling
Partner with factories on PO readiness, carton specs, packaging/label compliance, and production calendars to meet promotional and seasonal demand
Manage 3PL performance and scalability: receiving SLAs, pick/pack quality, cycle counts, MCF/DSV execution, returns/refurb flows
Build dashboards and cadences for OTIF, fill rate, dwell/lead times, landed cost per unit, and chargeback rate; drive continuous improvement
Work cross-functionally (Sales, Demand Planning/S&OP, Finance, QA) to support launches, channel expansions, and inventory placement decisions
Qualifications
Track record owning high-volume imports (50+ FCL/mo) and complex Amazon/eCommerce programs for a manufacturer or brand
Documented success reducing chargebacks/penalties and improving OTIF/fill rate
Experience optimizing multi-node 3PL networks and inventory strategies
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related)
Nice to Have
ERP systems experience (NetSuite, Acumatica, Sage or similar)
Familiarity with appliance/retail compliance (UL/ETL labeling, packaging specs)
Duty drawback, FTZ, or bond program exposure
