    We are looking for a Senior Medical Science Liaison for the Northwest territory at a cutting-edge global biotech looking to expand their US operations. 

    The Senior Medical Science Liaison is responsible for engaging with external scientific experts and industry professionals to carry out the US Medical Affairs Plan. An ideal candidate must demonstrate deep therapeutic expertise, understand their assigned territory, collaborate effectively with cross functional colleagues, and is able to serve as a model and resource for MSLs and other internal partners

    This is a remote position with travel, must be US based near a major airport. Northwest Territory includes: Northern CA, WA, NV, ID, OR, UT. 

     

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

    • Provide corporate value through demonstrated leadership and participation in strategic thinking
    • Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Investigators, Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), payer organizations, and other stakeholders across relevant therapeutic areas
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the US Medical Affairs Plan
    • Maintain deep knowledge of clinical and scientific developments within relevant therapeutic areas
    • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests
    • Identify US investigators and clinical trial sites for participation in company sponsored trials based on scientific capabilities, administrative readiness, and therapeutic areas of interest
    • Facilitate submissions for unsolicited medical education grants, investigator supported study proposals and managed access program requests
    • Understand national, regional, and local trends and participate in strategic planning activities
    • Attend scientific medical congresses to maintain a high level of expertise in the respective therapeutic area, engage with external stakeholders, and gain insights
    • Identify and inform on actionable insights on research developments, treatment landscape, and new concepts
    • Contribute to the planning and execution of US Congress Medical Symposiums and US based Medical Advisory Boards
    • Collaborate with and serve as an integral part of a cross-functional team, including but not limited to sales, marketing, and market access
    • Contribute to the development of medical assets, speaker programs and training in support of Medical Science Liaison activities
    • Self-evaluate territory performance and monitor productivity, metrics, workload, and output while ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders as required by business needs
    • Promote teamwork and optimize the achievement of shared goals
    • Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within the required timelines

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in oncology (neuroendocrine tumor is a plus)
    • Advanced degree (MD, PhD or PharmD) in a scientific discipline
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with key medical experts, payers, and other external stakeholders as required
    • Demonstrate proficiency in project management related tools with an ability to effectively prioritize tasks
    • Ability to interpret scientific data, market research and support cross-functional activities as required
    • Excellent skills in collaboration, influencing and communication (both written and oral) required
    • Ability to take initiative, develop, and execute on objectives in an independent environment
