    Thompson First Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering for a direct hire role with a local client in Griffin, Georgia.

    Candidates with experience at a product producing manufacturing facility or organization are encouraged to apply. 

    What you will do:

    • Managing the planning, documentation, implementation, support and maintenance of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery and tooling to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and safety.
    • Researching process performance data to identify and implement process changes that improve yield, runtime, quality, safety and cost-effectiveness.
    • Managing the activities and resources for manufacturing engineers, process design and support personnel.
    • Providing on-going support for manufacturing problems and deficiencies; troubleshoots technically challenging production problems.

    Degree Requirement:

    • Technical/Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.

    • Manufacturing Safety: Extensive knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
    • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Extensive knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
    • Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Extensive knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.
    • Project Management: Extensive knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

    $156,000-$190,000 per year
