Our client in the communication manufacturing industry is seeking a hands-on, experienced Senior Microwave/RF Engineering Manager to lead a team in Kilgore, TX. In this highly technical and mission-critical role, you’ll take ownership of advanced feed network design for ground-based SATCOM antennas—overseeing a niche group of engineers and technicians focused on creating the next generation of RF systems that support defense, aerospace, and global communications. This is an on-site role in Kilgore, TX (30 miles East of Tyler, TX and 70 miles West of Shreveport, LA) relocation support provided!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, optimization, and testing of high-performance microwave components: multi-band feeds, mode launchers, diplexers, OMTs, etc.
- Manage a skilled team of engineers, overseeing personnel scheduling, project execution, and technical quality.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and program management teams to deliver on-time, on-budget solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RF regulations: ITU, FCC, MIL-STD, and more.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship (Required)
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical, Microwave, or RF Engineering
- 10+ years in microwave/RF systems, with at least 3–5 years of direct engineering management
- Deep hands-on experience designing and testing passive RF feed networks, including TE/TM mode analysis, S- to V-band frequency handling, and environmental testing
- Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools: HFSS, TICRA, CST, MATLAB, etc.
- Experience with VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and PIM mitigation practices
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Project management experience: PMP certification is a plus
