Jackson Hewitt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced operations leader for this newly established position. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of operational excellence and is enthusiastic about contributing to the development of a new initiative within Jackson Hewitt. Direct experience in retail operations and supporting both company-owned and franchise businesses is required. This role presents an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the establishment of a new growth area across our US retail channel, taking on an influential position that is closely involved in the strategies necessary for success.
This hybrid position is based in our Sarasota, Florida corporate office and has required in-office days of Tuesday – Thursday with flexibility for remote days on Monday and Friday.
What you will do here:
Execute the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives
Directly collaborate with Franchise and Company Owned commercial operations to expand the suite of services across the network.
Coaches commercial stakeholders in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
Partner with commercial operators, marketing, and product development teams to align efforts.
Assesses metrics in relation to predefined objectives, ensuring project milestones and goals remain on schedule and within allocated budget.
Establish and nurture strong client relationships. Present the bookkeeping value proposition and customize solutions to meet client needs (e.g., Company Owned Operations service delivery).
Uses industry connections and client relationships to understand and respond to shifts in competition, pricing, and product demand.
Skills you will bring for success:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or experience.
More than five years of experience in retail business development, including promoting and upselling a company's products or services.
A demonstrated history of successfully driving retail organizational growth through the development and launch of new business initiatives, conceptual innovations, and program pilot, evaluation, and implementation is essential.
Exemplary project management skills required.
Strong change management skills
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
Excellent presentation skills: Ability to effectively present the company's value proposition to Commercial operations and/or potential clients.
Sales experience: A proven track record of successfully generating leads and closing deals is highly valued.
Business acumen: Understanding of business principles, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Analytical: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies.
Relationship-building: Ability to build rapport with clients and foster long-term partnerships across Commercial operations.
Self-motivated and results-driven: Ability to work independently and achieve goals.
