Design underground mine layouts including stopes, development headings, access, ventilation, and ground support systems.
Prepare and maintain production schedules, forecasts, and mine designs using industry-standard software (Deswik preferred).
Conduct trade-off studies and economic evaluations to optimize mining methods and sequencing.
Provide technical support to operations, including drill and blast design, dilution control, and stope performance analysis.
Collaborate with Geology to integrate resource models, grade control data, and reconciliation results into mine plans.
Support budgeting, cost control, and capital project evaluation processes.
Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Experience with life-of-mine planning and strategic optimization.
Exposure to budgeting, cost control, and capital evaluation.
Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining safety systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred: Experience in restart, ramp-up, or brownfield operations; leadership experience within an engineering team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely perform work in an active underground mining environment in compliance with MSHA regulations.
Regularly travel and work underground in conditions including uneven surfaces, confined spaces, poor lighting, noise, dust, diesel emissions, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders and stairs, and maintain balance on uneven terrain.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in restricted areas.
Ability to enter/exit underground via hoists, cages, or mobile equipment.
