    Arts Bonita is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative infrastructure that support our growing cultural programs. This senior leadership role ensures that all systems, facilities, and processes function efficiently and that internal operations align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate brings significant operational and leadership experience in a professional cultural organization, with a strong understanding of both visual and performing arts environments. The Senior Operations Director will also play a critical role in developing organizational policies and procedures for all departments, and in designing and overseeing a system of implementation and accountability to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversee daily operations across two campuses, including facility management, vendor coordination, IT, scheduling, logistics, and administration.

    Collaborate with leadership to align operational practices with strategic priorities and programming needs.

    Develop, document, and implement policies and procedures across all departments to standardize processes and ensure compliance, clarity, and efficiency.

    Establish and manage a system of accountability, including timelines, staff responsibilities, training, audits, and reporting.

    Supervise operations, front desk, facilities, and support staff, ensuring excellent internal and external customer service.

    Coordinate calendars, resources, and cross-departmental workflows for classes, events, concerts, and festivals.

    Manage compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and local/state/federal regulations.

    Support budgeting, vendor management, and cost control in collaboration with finance staff.

    Assist in fundraising event and festival execution, overseeing facility and logistical planning.

    Participate in capital improvement planning, sustainability efforts, and organizational growth initiatives.

    Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and accountability across all departments.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations or administration, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a professional cultural organization.

    Direct experience in both visual arts and performing arts environments strongly preferred.

    Proven track record of developing policies and procedures and establishing systems of accountability.

    Strong leadership, supervisory, project management, and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and relevant operational platforms.

    Experience with budgeting, vendor negotiation, compliance, and facilities oversight.

    Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
