iQuasar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our growing team.
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator for a permanent position.
Position: Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Position Type: Full-Time Time-Onsite
Role Specific Duties/ Role Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor complex, highly available Oracle database environments
Support and troubleshoot ODI replication streams, install patches, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot production and non-production ODI replication.
Upgrade Oracle databases and related technologies as needed for operational activities and project efforts.
Create additional Oracle databases as needed.
Oracle database cloning in RAC and non-RAC environments.
Maintain and troubleshoot complex custom application code in PLSQL and Python
Perform DR testing and failover in the event of an NOLA data centre outage
Perform Security remediation/patching/Oracle STIG compliance
Manage user accounts and account passwords
Manage WebLogic and Fusion applications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another related field
10 years of experience with enterprise-level database administration, database architecture, or a related field
7+ years of experience with data analysis, data migration tools, data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, database design, and SQL database and coding
Administrative experience with multiple database disciplines, such as MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Oracle RAC/ASM/Grid Infrastructure 12c, 19c management and monitoring
Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c
Linux Systems Administration skills and Unix sys admin utilities (root access is a requirement)
Backup/recovery with RMAN
Disaster recovery with DataGuard failover/switchover
Multi-Tenant database technology (Container/Pluggable database management)
Oracle ODI 12c, Oracle upgrade from 12c to 19c
Database and Grid Infrastructure CPU patching
Linux Shell scripting (bash,ksh), Complex PL/SQL programming, Python programming, ESRI Software (Prosource, ArcGIS,etc)
Spatial data and object management to include Domain indexes, etc.
SQL querying with tools SQLPlus, Toad, SQLNavigator
Oracle STIGs / Database and Linux security understanding and remediation
WebLogic / Fusion
Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
Candidate can demonstrate Oracle in the Cloud experience administering, configuring, and monitoring Oracle Databases in Azure.
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant
