Connect Staffing is working with an international law firm to fill a Senior Litigation Paralegal opening in the firm's New York office. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy case files, including discovery materials, deposition exhibits, and expert documents.
Assist with trial preparation: prepare exhibits, witness lists, demonstratives, and manage offsite war room spaces.
Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including motions, subpoenas, pleadings, and correspondence.
File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e.g., NYSCEF, PACER NextGen) and coordinate in-person filings as needed.
Interface with court clerks, administrative agencies, and vendors; prepare affidavits of service and notarize documents.
Delegate tasks to junior staff and ensure workflow efficiency.
Conduct legal research using tools like Lexis/Nexis and Relativity.
Maintain clear communication with attorneys, clients, and staff; uphold confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate, or equivalent law firm experience.
7–10 years of law firm or legal environment experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.
Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive under shifting priorities.
Knowledge of appellate procedures is a plus.
