Responsibilities: Litigation Documents: • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of routine litigation-related documents, such as notices, motions, and discovery requests and responses. • Electronically file documents with the court and serve them to all appropriate parties. Business Documents: • Draft operating agreements, shareholders' agreements, and other business documents. • File business documents and correspond with Florida business agencies on behalf of the firm's clients. Case File Management: • Organize and manage case files according to firm protocols and procedures. Legal Correspondence: • Prepare legal correspondence for delivery to courts, clients, and opposing counsel. Attorney Support: • Assist attorneys by ensuring they have all relevant materials for depositions, hearings, or meetings. • Schedule case-related events and maintain the Firm's calendar. Time Tracking: • Meticulously track billable hours to maximize revenue for the firm. Systems and Procedures: • Contribute to the creation of systems and procedures for the litigation paralegal role to enhance efficiency and success. Qualifications: • Minimum of five years of paralegal experience in a Florida commercial litigation and/or business law firm. • Experience in documenting business transactions and corporate agreements. • Substantive work on commercial litigation cases with senior attorney supervision. • Florida-registered paralegal or similar certification preferred. • Comfortable with an in-office work environment. Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000
