The Senior Payroll Accountant will process payroll for 200+ employees and report into the Payroll Manager.
· Administer end-to-end payroll processing for multi-entity and multi-state organizations across semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable payroll regulations.
· Prepare payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger journal entries for submission of Accounting to support accurate financial reporting and payroll expense allocations.
· Monthly review, reconciliation and authorization of payroll invoices including health benefits, 401(k) invoices and various other fringe benefit invoices.
· Ensure the processing of all employee actions, including new hires, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
· Process regular files feeds with supporting vendors.
· Ensure business is up to date on all employee state tax regulations, filings and other federal, state or local compliance related reports as needed.
· Coordinate payroll processing activities with HR, and other department managers.
· Perform additional payroll accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and administrative duties as assigned.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information with company data security standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
· 8+ years' direct hands-on experience using ADP, UKG or other enterprise payroll system
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
