Senior Power Platform Architect

Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Power Platform Architect to lead the design and implementation of a Microsoft Power Platform–based system for a major New York State public health agency. This is a 6-month contract role supporting the development of a secure, low-code solution using Power Pages, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

Design overall solution architecture and data models using Power Platform

Define security model and integration strategy (SSO, NY.Gov ID, payment gateway)

Review Power Pages and Power Apps builds for best practices

Guide technical implementation team across sprints

Ensure system scalability, performance, and maintainability

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of professional experience in software development or IT architecture

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)

Strong experience designing low-code enterprise solutions with Power Pages

Experience integrating Power Platform with SharePoint, AD/SSO, and third-party APIs

Prior experience on public sector or government projects highly preferred

Strong communication and documentation skills
