    Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00/hour

    Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

They produce solutions for infectious diseases, respiratory conditions, and blood-borne illnesses. This is a regulated, quality-driven environment focused on precision, compliance, and patient safety.

     

    Position Summary

    The Senior Production Technician supports laboratory production operations by preparing and batching chemical solutions according to Master Batch Records (MBRs). This role involves working in a controlled lab environment, performing calculations, handling biological and chemical materials, and ensuring strict adherence to GMP/GLP standards.

    This is a hands-on production + lab hybrid role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow structured processes.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review daily production schedules and determine required batches

    • Retrieve raw materials and batch records for production runs

    • Perform accurate batch calculations following Master Batch Records (MBRs)

    • Prepare and mix chemical and biological solutions

    • Conduct serum heat inactivation processes as required

    • Identify hazards, expired chemicals, and ensure safe handling procedures

    • Perform quality control sampling and documentation

    • Work on multiple batch records simultaneously while maintaining accuracy

    • Follow and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    • Communicate with departments such as QA, QC, R&D, and Label Control

    • Maintain proper inventory levels of lab consumables

    • Complete non-conformance reports and defect documentation

    • Ensure compliance with all GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards

     

    Required Qualifications*

    • Associate degree in a science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)

    • Strong math skills (basic algebra and batch calculations)

    • Hands-on laboratory or production experience

    • Experience using pipettes and standard lab equipment

    • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and documentation

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical production tasks

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

     

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience in cleanroom or controlled environments (ISO/Classified areas)

    • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

    • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing

    • Knowledge of batch record documentation and traceability systems

    • Experience with weighing, measuring, and calibrating lab equipment

    • Ability to work with hazardous materials following OSHA guidelines

    • Experience with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

    • Understanding of quality systems (CAPA, deviations, audits)

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, regulated production environment

    • Strong teamwork and cross-functional communication skills

    • Climate-controlled laboratory and production setting

    • Exposure to chemicals and biological materials (with proper PPE)

    • Requires standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks

    • Overtime may be required based on production needs
