    The Opportunity

Our client supports complex DoD programs where cost, schedule, and performance aren't just metrics — they're how mission success gets measured. This Senior Program Scheduler / EVMS Analyst role is for someone who has built and maintained integrated master schedules on real defense programs, knows how to read earned value data and actually explain what it means, and can hold their own in a program review with government leadership. If you've been doing scheduling and EVMS work at the senior level and want a role where it counts, this one's worth a conversation.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Integrated Scheduling

    • Build, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex DoD programs
    • Identify and track critical path, schedule risk, and float across work packages
    • Ensure schedules reflect realistic baselines and are kept current through change management processes

      Earned Value Management (EVM)

    • Serve as the primary EVMS analyst — process cost and schedule data, calculate performance metrics (BCWP, BCWS, ACWP), and analyze variances
    • Interpret EVM results to support Program Manager and Control Account Manager decision-making
    • Ensure EVMS compliance with contractual requirements, NDIA standards, and DCMA surveillance expectations
    • Prepare monthly EVMS performance reports and support contract data requirements (CDRLs)

      Program Controls & Reporting

    • Support preparation of program reviews, status reports, and executive briefings for government leadership
    • Coordinate with program offices, finance teams, engineering, and contracting to ensure integrated execution
    • Monitor cost and schedule performance metrics and flag risks early with recommended mitigation paths

      What Success Looks Like

    • Program leadership has an accurate, current IMS they actually use to make decisions
    • EVMS deliverables are submitted on time and pass DCMA review without findings
    • Cost and schedule variances are explained clearly — causes identified, impacts quantified, recovery plans in place
    • You're the person the PM calls when they need to understand what the numbers mean

      What You Bring

    • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (verify current requirement upon application)
    • 10+ years of scheduling and/or EVMS experience on DoD programs
    • Expert-level proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
    • Hands-on EVMS experience — not just report generation, but analysis, variance explanation, and compliance management
    • Experience preparing and presenting program performance data to government stakeholders
    • Working knowledge of EVM guidelines (ANSI/EIA-748) and DCMA surveillance processes

      Bonus Points For:

EVMS tool experience with Deltek Cobra, wInsight, or similar cost engines

Experience supporting Air Force, Space Force, or other classified DoD programs

PMI-SP, EVP, or similar scheduling / EVM certification

      Who You Are

You know that a schedule is only as good as the data behind it — and you're the kind of person who makes sure that data is right. You're comfortable under pressure, whether it's a monthly performance review or a DCMA audit, because you've done this enough times to know what good looks like. You can work independently, manage multiple competing priorities, and communicate complex program performance in a way that actually helps decision-makers act. You don't just produce reports — you interpret them.
