    The role requires being on site 2 days a week (Mon/Tues). 

    Vital Tech Solutions is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst for a top client in the Lansing, MI area! Responsibilities include requirements analysis, application development, testing, and deployment, with a focus on maintaining compliance with evolving federal regulations.

    The analyst will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors, and will support reimbursement-related projects. The role is hands-on, working within a small agile development team, delivering both new features and maintenance for web applications.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Write clean, testable code in Angular, ASP.NET, C#.NET, XAML, HTML, and SQL Server.
    • Develop business applications using C# and object-oriented design principles.
    • Design and maintain SSRS reports.
    • Build and maintain RESTful APIs using the Web API framework.
    • Participate in the full SDLC: requirements gathering, documentation, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
    • Design logical and physical database models.
    • Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and troubleshoot using TSQL.
    • Optimize SQL queries and use Entity Framework effectively.
    • Integrate components into a functional software system.
    • Use version control systems like GIT for source code management.
    • Work within CI/CD pipelines and build/deploy frameworks.
    • Develop and maintain web applications using Azure and IIS environments.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to create design documents, mockups, and user prototypes.
    • Create system flowcharts, screen layouts, and detailed documentation.
    • Contribute to projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
    • Apply secure coding best practices including input validation and logging.
    • Participate in peer reviews and ensure all deliverables meet security, architectural, and coding standards.
    • Adhere to organizational policies, development standards, and IT best practices.
    • Provide high-quality customer support, act with integrity, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

    Required Skills:

    • 9+ years of experience with Angular, HTML, C#.NET, SQL Server, and Entity Framework.
    • 5+ years working with SSRS, ASP.NET, XAML, MVC, and MVVM.
    • 5+ years of experience writing, debugging, and managing SQL Server stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and linked servers.
    • 5+ years working with Microsoft IIS for configuration, administration, and maintenance.
    • 5+ years of experience developing SOAP and REST web service interfaces.
    • 5+ years of experience writing complex T-SQL queries and scripts.
    • 7+ years participating in Agile/Scrum projects and working in sprint-based development teams.
    • 5+ years using Azure DevOps or TFS for boards, repositories, and pipelines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to work independently and within a team setting.
    • Ability to provide quality customer service and build trust through teamwork.

    Desired Skills:

    • 7+ years of experience using GIT version control.
    • 7+ years developing unit and regression test suites.
    • Experience developing secure web applications (cross-site scripting prevention, SQL injection protection, logging).
    • Clear and concise written communication and technical documentation skills.
    • Ability to create effective charts, graphs, and presentations.
    • Experience designing prototypes and wireframes for user review.
    • Familiarity with Azure web services.
    • Experience with Oracle database design in addition to SQL Server.
    • Exposure to containerization platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes.
    • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMM).
