    Description

    Grace Design Studios is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Architect in our St. Louis office to lead the design and execution of architectural projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and creative vision to manage complex project coordination, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the design development process across all project phases, ensuring alignment with client goals, technical requirements, and firm standards.
    • Develop innovative and functional design solutions that respond to complex project constraints.
    • Create clear and compelling design presentations and documentation to communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with consultants (e.g., structural, MEP) to integrate all disciplines into a cohesive design and ensure regulatory/code compliance.
    • Oversee the production and quality of construction documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and technical excellence.
    • Lead and mentor project teams, providing design guidance and supporting professional growth of junior staff.
    • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal leadership to align project execution with strategic objectives.
    • Conduct regular design reviews and quality control checks to maintain high standards of performance, sustainability, and compliance.
    • Serve as a key client liaison, presenting design concepts, addressing feedback, and fostering strong, lasting client relationships.

    Required Skills

    • Accredited Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) required.
    • Architectural license required.
    • 10+ years of architectural experience with demonstrated project leadership across all phases.
    • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and design presentation tools (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage consultant collaboration.
    • Excellent design, technical, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
