    Senior Structural Engineer – Advanced Industries | Lakewood, CO

    Our client, a leading civil and structural engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their Lakewood, Colorado office. This is a unique opportunity to work on nationally recognized projects in dynamic sectors such as aerospace, data centers, semiconductors, heavy industrial, and manufacturing.

    This role offers the chance to manage high-value projects (ranging from $15K to $1M+ in design fees), engage directly with clients, and collaborate with top-tier professionals in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage engineering and technician staff on project execution from concept through construction

    • Coordinate structural design scope internally and with multidisciplinary consultants

    • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets

    • Serve as the primary contact with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction lifecycle

    • Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans

    • Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to their career development

    • Represent the firm at client and project meetings

    • Foster and maintain strong client relationships

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program

    • 9+ years of progressive engineering experience (a master’s degree or passing the 16-hour SE exam counts as 1 year)

    • PE licensure in Colorado, or ability to obtain within 3 months

    • Demonstrated experience with advanced industries projects, including aerospace, pharma, semiconductor, data centers, or manufacturing facilities

    • Proficiency in Revit

    • Proven ability to work within project schedules and budgets

    • Familiarity with coordinating across MEP, architectural, and civil systems

    • Strong communication and coordination skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

    • Leadership abilities with a vision for long-term growth

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

    • Track record of completing multiple advanced industry projects from design through construction

    • Experience managing large-scale projects and multiple concurrent deadlines

    • Comfort engaging with clients on feasibility, design challenges, and schedule impacts

    • Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information
