Job Description: Al Dente Pasta Co. is seeking an experienced Director of Sales with deep knowledge of the U.S. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry and strong relationships within the industry. This role will be instrumental in driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and developing profitable promotional strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a wide network of industry contacts, particularly within retail chains and distributors, and be capable of quickly onboarding new accounts to achieve growth targets.

Our product range includes a variety of traditional and specialty pasta shapes, catering to consumers who value quality and authenticity. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Utilize an established network to prospect and secure new retail-chain, wholesale accounts expediting the onboarding process. (foodservice knowledge is a plus)
· Develop and implement strategic retail promotions that deliver measurable positive ROI.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to drive sales, increase account revenue, and meet profitability targets.
· Collaborate with internal departments (Sales Support, Production, Logistics) to ensure seamless sales transactions and customer satisfaction.
· Actively evaluate and expand the retailer and chain landscape by identifying and closing new business opportunities.
· Actively manage and develop existing broker accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
· Understands how to effectively manage brokers, setting clear expectations and ensuring they are equipped to drive growth and secure new listings.
· Excels at presenting and pitching the brand to buyers and sales teams, both through video presentations and in-person meetings; actively represents the brand at industry events.
· Represent customer feedback and deliver sales reports to management.
· Travel as needed (10-20%).
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
· Education: College degree or equivalent experience.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the CPG industry, with a proven track record of working with national retail grocery chains, KeHe & UNFI, and other distributors or wholesale food accounts.
· Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the U.S. grocery retail and chain landscape, including key players in wholesale and distribution, foodservice is a plus
· Network: Extensive professional network within the CPG industry, with the ability to quickly open new doors and drive business expansion.
· Promotional Skills: Expertise in planning, evaluating, and developing retail promotions that deliver a positive return on investment (ROI).
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Experience with CRM Tools.
· Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
· Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
