Reports to : Associate Dean of Graduate and Undergraduate Programming, Mirella Avalos-Louie

Job Summary:
This position provides support for the graduate and undergraduate divisions of the School of Education (SOE). The candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the Associate Dean. The person in this position also manages relations with key constituents and communicates with students and university-wide offices.
**Essential Functions: **

Regularly handle confidential material and information and exercise discretion
Function efficiently during high-demand periods with the students and the administrative team
Responsibly oversee with the Associate Dean in conferral of degrees (3 times a year) and all matters related to graduation (diploma distribution, verification of eligibility status, compiling content for graduation program)
Serve as the primary reviewer for doctoral dissertations to meet formatting requirements for publication
Develop or maintain data reports using multiple platforms
Serve as point of contact for the SOE with university-wide offices (Admissions, Bursar, Financial Services, Institutional Research, Provost, Registrar, University Events) that support academic programming deliverables
Processes academic requests for administrators and students in preparation for approval by the Associate Dean
Lead and/or support college events for the Dean's Office
Coordinate travel as needed
Support the Associate Dean in monitoring and assigning tasks to graduate assistants
Maintain a calendar
Arrange in-person and virtual meetings
May provide support to the Dean as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 5 lbs. Full-time Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3pm
