    About the Role

    We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer – Embedded Systems. This role requires a strong command of both software and hardware testing, with a focus on Linux-based embedded platforms. You will design and execute testing strategies, lead quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance across mission-critical systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    As a senior member of the QA team, you will:

    Define and implement test strategies for embedded hardware and software systems.

    Collaborate with engineering teams to align testing with development goals and priorities.

    Develop and execute manual and automated test frameworks using tools like Gtest and Pytest.

    Lead root cause analysis for defects and drive process improvements.

    Mentor junior engineers in testing methodologies and quality assurance standards.

    Deliver thorough test documentation, including test cases, defect logs, and reports.

    Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

    Stay ahead of emerging QA practices and embedded testing trends.

    Required Skills & Experience

    8+ years of experience in embedded systems testing (hardware + software).

    Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with RTOS environments.

    Strong Linux expertise with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation.

    Hands-on experience with hardware protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).

    Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

    Excellent communication skills with proven mentoring or team leadership experience.

    Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

    Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, SANS/GIAC, or equivalent.

    Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO/SAE 21434, HIPAA, OWASP, ITIL).

    Industry exposure to defense, law enforcement, automotive, or manufacturing.

    Japanese language fluency for technical collaboration.

    Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
