Senior Specifications Writer

Direct Hire – Hybrid | Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI | $98k - $114k

Konik is partnering with an interdisciplinary design firm in the Twin Cities seeking a Senior Specifications Writer to prepare project manuals and specifications for commercial building projects nationwide. This position requires a thorough knowledge of architectural building systems, products, and materials.

Senior Specifications Writer Responsibilities include:

• Review drawings and coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to write and assemble specifications
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to incorporate their requirements into project manuals
• Prepare preliminary project descriptions
• Research and document new and evolving materials, products, and building systems in coordination with the specifications team
• Develop and maintain firm master guide specifications 
• Coordinate material identification and annotation between drawings and specifications.

Senior Specifications Writer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Architecture or Engineering
• 7+ years of experience preparing architectural specifications for commercial building projects.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial building construction and experience working on large building projects is ideal
• Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and specification editing software such as VisiSpecs, Deltek Masterworks, or SpecLink
