Our 70-year-old global Aerospace & Defense client has asked The Maven Group to locate several talented Staff level FPGA Design Engineer to join a growing team. This role is located in a the Phoenix, AZ area.

This position is a direct-hire, full-time role. This role requires the chosen candidate to be in the Phoenix area. My client will provide relocation packages for ideal candidates who need assistance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in avionics systems, digital electronics, power systems, or embedded development, demonstrating progressively increasing technical responsibility with a Space, Defense or Aviation company.

To be considered as the ideal candidate, you should possess:

• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in avionics systems, digital electronics, power systems, or embedded development, demonstrating progressively increasing technical responsibility.
• Proven deep technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Embedded system architectures
• Digital system design and FPGA development
• Avionics electronics and power conversion

Some preferred skills if you have them:

• Experience supporting space-grade or military-grade avionics systems.
• Strong systems-level design mindset with a comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software integration.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and work independently within matrixed, cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with software integration and verification processes.
• Proficiency in CAD tools for designing electrical and mechanical interfaces
