    CALIBRE is an employee-owned, mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company. We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (Key Personnel) to support a government contract. This is a remote position.

    Position Overview:
    The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stable operation, configuration, and maintenance of in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. The role also involves directing the configuration and operation of information management systems, providing both local and remote system administration support, and managing a team of system administrators.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and optimize systems, applications, and network communications across multiple locations.

    • Analyze and resolve end-user software and connectivity issues.

    • Perform capacity and performance analysis; provide configuration changes and upgrade recommendations.

    • Develop and implement system administrator procedures and automated tools/scripts to improve efficiency.

    • Conduct training, skills assessments, and provide end-user instruction.

    • Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business goals.

    • Lead and oversee daily operations of other system administrators, ensuring effective support and optimization.

    • Apply advanced technical knowledge in application networking, load balancing, and fault tolerance.

    • Perform vulnerability management and ensure system security compliance.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.

    • A minimum of ten (10) years of specialized experience in Information Processing, with at least four (4) years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software and systems.

    • Experience leading or directing other system administrators.

    • Demonstrated expertise in application networking and fault-tolerant system design.

    • Active Top Secret clearance (or equivalent to Tier 5) required

      • Must possess a favorable Tier 5 (T5) / SSBI investigation at the time of proposal submission.
    • Position Sensitivity: Critical-Sensitive (IT-I).

  • Qualifications
    • Demonstrated creativity, passion and interest in design and planning of laboratories within technical facilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements for laboratory design.
    • Advanced knowledge of laboratory programming delivery and how design impacts those systems –including space, operational, and equipment programming, as well as MEP systems and casework.
    • Advanced knowledge of laboratory planning, design, construction documents, construction administration and project construction cost control for lab facilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
    • Possess strong hand and advanced CAD drafting skills.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred.
    • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
    • Proficiency in Revit or other BIM platform preferred.
    • Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; ability to convey laboratory planning needs to designers and other team members.
    • Ability to work in team environment and supervise others.
    • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
